Can Rosehip Oil help my Eczema?

Eczema is a type of dermatitis experienced by millions globally, making it one of the most common skin ailments in the world. It can be caused or aggravated by any number of reasons from poor diet and lifestyle, to temperature change or genetics.

Many of our customers use Rosehip Oil to treat their eczema daily. We have had many very positive reports of improvement. Many of our repeat buyers are sufferers.

What are the symptoms of Eczema?

Eczema usually presents as patches of red skin with raised bumps. Skin may appear as dry or cracked and may weep. Sometimes these areas appear as red skin tone or as a different colour, either as lighter or darker skin.

These patches are often uncomfortable with the resulting itching or irritation causing people to scratch irritated areas, often the face or scalp. This only makes things worse and skin can become oozy or crusty.

Symptoms can vary in severity and often come and go on a daily basis.

Eczema in Babies and Children

Although affecting people of all ages, Eczema is found in around 10% of babies. Skin irritates and can cause discomfort resulting in a lack of sleep for concerned parents.

It is not contagious and usually disappears when children reach around six years old as their immune system matures.

Causes of Eczema

While the exact cause of eczema is unknown, it is often thought to be connected to the body’s immune system reacting to irritants.

Often inherited, sufferers may be prone to other allergies such as asthma or hay fever.

How can Rosehip Oil help eczema?

We see people every day who are affected by this common skin condition. And many ask us how Rosehip Oil can benefit the sufferers of eczema or dermatitis?

The ingredients of our oil, that make it so good for skin, can also help sufferers. Retinol, which is a byproduct of Vitamin A, is plentiful in our oil. It has anti-ageing characteristics and is very good for treating dry, wrinkled and uneven skin tones.

The fatty acids Omega 6 (Linoleum acids) and Omega 3 (Linolenic acids) assist your skin by repairing tissue from the inside. They penetrate the layers of the skin to deeply moisturise and replenish sensitive or allergy prone skin.

Our oil is an organic product that has no additives which has proved to be very important to allergy sufferers.
